The Big Swing Band is based in Camberwell and has been entertaining audiences in the area and beyond since 1982.  They play a mixture of classic, swing and modern big band charts including repertoire written especially for the band.  They are led by alto saxophonist Alan English and have the standard 5-4-4-4 line up. This event (Fest Event #6) is one of our 3 first Sunday events and is organised and co-hosted by volunteer-run charity Friends of Ruskin Park. The Friends work to ensure the park (managed by Lambeth Council) is well cared for and maintained, and has a planned and healthy future.
