Get ready for the ultimate winter swimming challenge! On Saturday 24th January 2026, 10am to 1pm, Brockwell Lido will host the first-ever Brockwell FreezeFest cold-water swimming championship open to all. Whether you’re a seasoned ice-miler or regular cold water plodder, this is your chance to join swimmers from across the UK in one of London’s most iconic outdoor pools. Be aware, the water temperature could be as cold as 5°C, or lower. Wetsuits or neoprene will not be allowed. The competition will feature 50m, 100m and 200m individual races, plus a fun 200m four-person team relay. With three age categories in play, everyone has a fair shot at glory. Competitors will also be able to relax and warm up in poolside hot tubs and a sauna, making the day as social and celebratory as it is competitive. There is a £12 registration fee, after which races cost £10 per swim. Don’t miss your chance to be part of a landmark winter swimming event.
