Join us for a relaxed and friendly evening when you will learn the art of mosaic making to create your own small decorative tile or functional coaster to take home at the end of the evening. During the evening you will discover: An introduction to mosaic making Basic health and safety when creating mosaics Demonstration of techniques and styles to create your own mosaic tile An explanation on grouting your tile There will be hands on support available through the session to help you learn how to cut and shape ceramic and glass tiles to make your perfect piece. We will also demonstrate and explain how to grout your piece; as we might not have time to do this in the session, we will provide the materials and resources for you to be able to do this at home. Who is it for? 18+, the class is beginner friendly. All materials will be provided. Mambista is back in the summer sun at the Greenhouses this year with a hand-picked selection of very special and uplifting music from Gypsy Swing to Soukous and Salsa, Reggae, Afrobeat, Ska, Funk, Jazz and Jump-up electric Blues. Join us in the garden for music, food and drink amongst the flowers. On Sunday 5th July join us for an evening of Gypsy Jazz, Gypsy Swing, Jazz Manouche, Hot Club-style Jazz, or whatever you want to call the music invented by Romani Jean “Django” Reinhardt (1910–1953) and French jazz violinist Stéphane Grap-pelli.
