    Join us for a cosy night of heartfelt poetry, deep reflections, and meaningful connections! Between The Lines: An Evening of Poetry, Reflection & Connection Join poet, author and spoken word artist Poonam Lumb for an uplifting and reflective workshop exploring the power of words to support wellbeing. In a world that rarely pauses, this session invites you to slow down, reflect and reconnect with yourself through poetry, conversation and creative writing. Together we'll explore themes of rest, stillness, space and self-expression in a welcoming and supportive environment. No writing experience is necessary. Whether you're a seasoned writer or simply curious, this workshop offers a chance to put pen to paper, discover your voice and explore what lies between the lines. Come as you are, leave with fresh perspectives, meaningful reflections and perhaps a few words of your own. And what better way to mark the occasion than with Shakespeare’s most iconic love story, Romeo and Juliet. Set against the glow of a summer evening, this enchanting outdoor production transports audiences to the vibrant festivities of a 16th-century Italian carnival. Expect bold colours, immersive staging, live atmosphere, and a world bursting with passion, drama, music, and theatrical magic as the sun sets and the story unfolds.     Gig at the Greenhouses: Mambista with Ducato Piotrowski

    Mambista is back in the summer sun at the Greenhouses this year with a hand-picked selection of very special and uplifting music from Gypsy Swing to Soukous and Salsa, Reggae, Afrobeat, Ska, Funk, Jazz and Jump-up electric Blues. Join us in the garden for music, food and drink amongst the flowers. On Sunday 5th July join us for an evening of Gypsy Jazz, Gypsy Swing, Jazz Manouche, Hot Club-style Jazz, or whatever you want to call the music invented by Romani Jean “Django” Reinhardt (1910–1953) and French jazz violinist Stéphane Grap-pelli. Guitarist extraordinaire Ducato was born into the tradition in Poland to a Roma family and carries the flame with passion and virtuosity, and has played everywhere from Pizza Express Jazz Club to the Royal Festival Hall. Join us in leafy Windmill Gardens park to get creative with a range of free art workshops. This year’s workshops include paper flower making, t-shirt painting, junk plants, nature collages, kaleidoscope making and more. All activities are drop-in.  No booking required.
