Event Summary During this relaxed and friendly session, you will be given instruction on how to make a Christmas wreath before using your creativity to make your own.  Treat yourself or a friend this Christmas to your wonderful creation. Who is it for? 18+, the class is beginner friendly. There will be a free glass of wine and all materials will be provided (non-alcoholic options will be available). Schedule for the Evening  A facilitator will be on hand to offer guidance throughout the evening: An introduction to wreath-making Basic health and safety rules when making wreaths Different decorations you can use for wreath-making Choose your materials to make your own wreath By the end of the session, you will know the basics of wreath-making and take home a Christmas wreath.

Written in 1806 by the Brother’s Grimm the tale was originally the first and longest story in a series of three fairy tales entitled The Elves. It follows a failing shoemaker at Christmas time, who one morning awakes to discover a perfect pair of shoes, already made, sitting at his work table. Each morning the same mysterious occurrence takes place, helping him make his fortune. A story of hard work rewarded, the perfect treat for a frosty evening. Come one, come all, adults grab a glass of wine and a mince pie, bring the family and join us to witness the magic of the Elves, sing along and pull a cracker or two – you might even get a festive card or a chance to hold a puppet!...

Ready, Set, DRAMA: Once Upon a Christmas (ages 6 – 11 and their grown-ups)

Designed for children aged 6 – 11 and their grown-ups. Get into the festive spirit in this fun and interactive drama workshop for children and their families. Using the themes of Christmas as inspiration we'll take part in energizing body warmups, expressive dances and exciting games in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We will use props, improvisation, collaboration and our imaginations to learn acting techniques in a group setting. The structure of the day is as follows: Welcome Icebreaker activities Body, Face, Voice Warm Ups Imagination Warm Ups Group improvisation These workshops are designed for children aged 6-11 and their grown-ups. Brockwell FreezeFest 2026

Get ready for the ultimate winter swimming challenge! On Saturday 24th January 2026, 10am to 1pm, Brockwell Lido will host the first-ever Brockwell FreezeFest cold-water swimming championship open to all. Whether you’re a seasoned ice-miler or regular cold water plodder, this is your chance to join swimmers from across the UK in one of London’s most iconic outdoor pools. Be aware, the water temperature could be as cold as 5°C, or lower. Wetsuits or neoprene will not be allowed. The competition will feature 50m, 100m and 200m individual races, plus a fun 200m four-person team relay. With three age categories in play, everyone has a fair shot at glory. Competitors will also be able to relax and warm up in poolside hot tubs and a sauna, making the day as social and celebratory as it is competitive. There is a £12 registration fee, after which races cost £10 per swim. Don’t miss your chance to be part of a landmark winter swimming event. Entries are open to all, regardless of club affiliation, and spaces are limited.
