Join us for a free family Halloween event in Windmill Gardens: Lantern carving workshop – make a traditional pumpkin lantern. £3 per pumpkin. Please note children must be aged at least 7 and must be accompanied by an adult. Spooky stories for children (5s to 11s) inside the windmill 1.30pm and 2.45pm. Be inspired by spooky stories in this fun and interactive drama workshop for children and their families. Together, we will learn acting techniques through energizing body warmups, expressive dances and exciting games in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We will use props, improvisation, collaboration and our imaginations to explore the theme of Halloween! Event Summary During this relaxed and friendly class, you will learn the art of candle-making using UK sourced paraffin wax and how to make pillar candle with botanical elements, e.g. dry flowers or spices. By the end of the taster session you will know the basics of making pillar candles and take home one candle decorated by using dry flowers or herbs. Please note: Your candles may not have set by the end of the session and so you might need to collect them at a later date. Or we can arrange to have them delivered to you for an additional fee on the night. Who is it for? 18+, the class is beginner friendly. All materials will be provided.
