Come join us for an afternoon of crafts, games, faith talks and cookie creations! We have a creche for the babies and older children can help lead crafts and games, fun for all family members and the opportunity to connect and build community. We would love to see you there!
Calling all girls aged 8 - 14! Let's get crafty this half term. Come and explore your creative selves and have fun with your friends. We will be making vision & prayer boards, doing a journaling workshop, and baking some delicious treats. Sign up asap as we have limited spaces available.
Come and join us for an afternoon of egg decorating, basket weaving and rice crispy nest making. We will be playing games, singing songs and learning about the joy and hope that Easter brings! Join us on Sunday 13 April for a family day in Windmill Gardens. We’ll be running a treasure hunt for children with a chocolate treat to find (£2.50 suggested donation) from 1.30pm. Free Easter themed craft workshops will run at the centre all afternoon. Our cafe and shop will be open and we are hoping for a sunny spring day to enjoy the park and windmill together. The windmill is open for guided tours from 1pm to 5pm so you could combine your visit with a tour if you like!
All welcome to attend our Good Friday creative service. It will be all age friendly with crafts as well as singing and learning together.
As the garden bursts into life, join us at the Greenhouses to get outside and celebrate spring! Bring your friends and family to enjoy spring inspired food and drink, have a dance, and enjoy music from the wonderful South East London Folk Orchestra, Raise the Roof Choir and more. There will also be craft activities, plant trails, and more ways to celebrate nature during this wonderful season! We’ll have a hot lunch, tea and cakes, botanical cocktails, local craft beer and organic wine available in the barn. Book a hot lunch with your ticket to avoid disappointment – a delicious homemade wild garlic and creamy cashew pasta, with fresh herbs. Join us for a free family Halloween event in Windmill Gardens: Lantern carving workshop – make a traditional pumpkin lantern. £3 per pumpkin. Please note children must be aged at least 7 and must be accompanied by an adult. Spooky stories for children (5s to 11s) inside the windmill 1.30pm and 2.45pm. This is drop in with a sign up sheet here on the day. Halloween arts & crafts. Drop in activity inside Brixton Windmill Centre. Our shop and cafe will be open too.
Get creative in this session to decorate your own glass tea-light holder. You’ll be able to keep your creation to use as the evenings get longer, or you can gift it to a loved one. Who is it for? For families aged 4+, no experience necessary. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. Further Information This is a taster session for families – no prior experience is needed. All materials will be provided. Instructions delivered in English.
