To accompany their three Channel Crossings the Brockwell Swimmers Club will be attempting to swim a matching distance at the Lido on the morning of Saturday 3rd August. This will be a combined swim with a goal of reaching a total distance of 21 miles, which measures 676 lengths of the lido.
How many of these could you do? If you want to join and pledge some lengths towards this epic goal you can sign up on their web site.
This event will be raising money for the RNLI, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, who help protect so many swimmers around the UK every year. It provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service to 100 miles out from the coast of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and a beach lifeguard service on over 200 beaches in England. The RNLI continues to rely on donations and legacies for its income. Please donate by clicking here.
