Christmas Crafting: Botanical Candles
L'Arche Craft Shop, 9-13 Norwood High Street SE27 9JU 9-13 Norwood High Street, West Norwood, South London, United KingdomEvent Summary During this relaxed and friendly class, you will learn the art of candle-making using UK sourced paraffin wax and how to make pillar candle with botanical elements, e.g. dry flowers or spices. By the end of the taster session you will know the basics of making pillar candles and take home one candle decorated by using dry flowers or herbs. Please note: Your candles may not have set by the end of the session and so you might need to collect them at a later date. Or we can arrange to have them delivered to you for an additional fee on the night. Who is it for? 18+, the class is beginner friendly. All materials will be provided. Christmas Party at the Lido
We’ll be celebrating at the Lido Café 400 Rabbits on Friday 21st November from 7:30pm to midnight. Expect a great night with good company, food, music, a quiz, and of course a well-earned drink, your first one’s on the club! It’s the perfect way to kick off the festive season with fellow swimmers and friends, old and new. To join the fun, you need to be a Brockwell Swimmers member and over 18. Brockfest Photo Gallery
Brockwell Hall SE24 Brockwell Park, London, United KingdomTemporary photo exhibition about Brockfest - a free community youth music festival held at Brockwell Hall in September featuring 121 artists from a local youth open mic. All photos by student live music photographers. Opening day only (10-5pm, 30th Nov) features elements of the bespoke speaker array used in the festival. Live performances from singer songwriters (and Brockfest performers) Eva Witney and Betty Ablett on piano in the exhibition room. The 5 easel displays built especially for the photo exhibition will be donated to The Hall afterwards, as a platform for other community groups to tell their stories.

Gig at the Greenhouses: Slovakian Christmas
Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses Brockwell Park, Herne Hill, London, United KingdomGet into the Christmas spirit and join us for a heartwarming afternoon of Slovak folk and sacred Christmas music, performed by singers Petra Štefancová and Mário Jakubicka. Visiting from the small village of Moravany, Slovakia, the duo are celebrated folk singers who perform sacred songs in churches across their homeland. Their rich vocal harmonies will be beautifully accompanied by cellist Nina Plapp and renowned Gypsy violinist Marian Bango, bringing the spirit of a Slovak village Christmas to life through music. Mulled wine, hot chocolate and sweet treats will be available from the bar to keep you warm on this wintery afternoon. BOOK HERE
