The Friends` Musick chamber choir perform a variety of songs ranging from a 12th century plainsong composed by a nun, to Dame Ethel Smyth`s The March of the Women (words by Emmeline Pankhurst); also including 16th century Italian madrigals, Epitaph on Henry Purcell (18th cent.), a 19th century setting of Shakespeare`s  Tell Me Where is Fancy Bred? and songs by Clara Schumann, plus traditional favourites such as Annie Lawrie & Soldier`s Farewell.

Founder-member and administrator of The Friends` Musick, Annie Bright, (Herne Hill resident) is producing this concert, under the musical direction of a brilliant young conductor, Jordan Theis from Camberwell.

After the concert there will be a Bucket Collection in aid of Hurricane Irma Survivors (UNICEF).
