SUMMARY:Craft Sessions: Make Your Own Mosaic Tile
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxed and friendly evening when you will learn the art of mosaic making to create your own small decorative tile or functional coaster to take home at the end of the evening.    During the evening you will discover: \n\nAn introduction to mosaic making\nBasic health and safety when creating mosaics\nDemonstration of techniques and styles to create your own mosaic tile\nAn explanation on grouting your tile\n\nThere will be hands on support available through the session to help you learn how to cut and shape ceramic and glass tiles to make your perfect piece.  We will also demonstrate and explain how to grout your piece; as we might not have time to do this in the session\, we will provide the materials and resources for you to be able to do this at home. \nWho is it for?\n18+\, the class is beginner friendly. All materials will be provided. \nWhat you need to consider:  \n\nThis is a taster session therefore it is suitable for people with no experience in mosaics.\nAll materials and tools will be provided.\nA good level of dexterity is needed to use tools safely when making your mosaic tile.\nThe mosaics made in this workshop will be for indoor use only and should avoid getting wet. They may be cleaned with gentle damp cloth if need be.\nPlease dress appropriately for a potentially messy activity.\nWe will not have time to grout our mosaics during this session as it can take some time for the glue to settle.  We will do a demonstration and you will be provided with the materials and resources to grout your mosaic on the night so you can complete this at home once the glue has set on your design.  Or we can arrange to grout it for you and for you to collect it at a later date.

Together we’ll explore themes of rest\, stillness\, space and self-expression in a welcoming and supportive environment. \nNo writing experience is necessary.
