SUMMARY:Herne Hill Halloween 2024
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to your support on the crowdfunder we are pleased to say that the free family Herne Hill Halloween Celebration will take place this year on 31st October. If you haven’t donated anything yet\, you can still add your magic coins to our cauldron as we haven’t yet reached our target. \nThe event takes place from 5 – 7pm on Thursday 31st October in Station Square and upstairs in Station Hall. The road will be closed to traffic from 3pm on the day and should re-open by 8:30pm. Confirmed so far we have: \n\na marvelous magician\na fiendish face painter\nan unlucky dip – what will you win?\na gripping ghost hunt – win a prize if you catch them all!\nmystery boxes- do you dare put your hand inside?\nlittle monsters play area (for tiny tots\, hosted by Apple Tree cafe)\na photo booth with props to take pics with\nfamily disco (in Station Hall)\n\nThis year we have teamed up with the Kids Playhouse\, who will be hosting a Halloween family disco upstairs in Station Hall\, above Herne Hill train station\, ideal for 5 – 10 year olds. Leave your buggy downstairs at the dedicated buggy park (left at your own risk) and head on up. Sadly the space is only reached via a set of stairs\, but there’s plenty to do on street level if you can’t get up there. \nWe’re working day and night to bring you even more! \nWe’re now looking for volunteers to help run the event. There’s lots to do from 3 – 8pm so drop us a line and tell us when you are available. \nGet dressed up and head on down the Station Square for some Halloween fun. \n

SUMMARY:Singing Mamas - South London
DESCRIPTION:Singing Mamas is all about taking care of the women who spend so much time being busy taking care of others. It’s all about making YOU feel good. There are no auditions\, no solos\, no reading music. Just simple songs taught by ear\, with the aim to reduce stress\, connect with others\, build community\, and improve wellbeing. Oh\, and there’s always tea and cake\, too.\n\nNo prior musical experience is needed – we sing for connection\, not for perfection! Mums\, grandmas\, bumps\, babies\, older children\, and women without kids are all welcome.\n\n \nWe meet at the Coffee Lounge in Herne Hill Baptist Church on Half Moon Lane every Thursday from 10-11.30am. If for some reason you can’t make that session\, we also have groups on Tuesdays in Streatham Vale in the Vestry room adjoining the Holy Redeemer Church\, also at 10-1130am.\n\nYou can book a taster session at www.georgialadbury.com/singing – or if you’re 36+ weeks pregnant\, sessions are free.\n\nWe strongly believe that everyone should have access to the benefits of singing\, so please get in touch if you feel there are barriers to joining the group (inc financial) so we can help find a solution.

SUMMARY:Herne Hill Halloween 2023
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the incredible support we received from you all\, we reached our crowdfunder target and are pleased to say that the free family Herne Hill Halloween Celebration is back for 2023! If you haven’t donated anything yet but want to\, you can still add your magic coins to our cauldron and any further donations will go towards making the event even better. \nThis year we have teamed up with Station Hall – the fantastic community space above Herne Hill train station – to deliver some devilishly good entertainment for the little monsters of Herne Hill. Leave your buggy downstairs at the dedicated buggy park (left at your own risk) and head on up. Sadly the space is only reached via a set of stairs\, but there’s plenty to do on street level if you can’t get up there. \n \nThe event takes place from 5 – 7pm on Tuesday 31st October in Station Square and Station Hall. The road will be closed to traffic from 3pm on the day and should re-open by 8:30pm. Please don’t park your cars in Station Square at this time or they run the risk of being removed! Confirmed so far we have: \n\na marvelous magician\na fiendish face painter\nan unlucky dip – what will you win?\na gripping ghost hunt – win a prize if you catch them all!\nmystery boxes- do you dare put your hand inside?\nlittle monsters play area (for tiny tots\, hosted by Apple Tree cafe)\na photo booth with props to take pics with\ncreepy crafts (in Station Hall)\nfiendish films (in Station Hall)\ndevilish disco (in Station Hall)\n\nWe’re working day and night to bring you even more! \nWe’re now looking for volunteers to help run the event. There’s lots to do from 2:30 – 8:30pm so drop us a line and tell us when you are available. \nGet dressed up and head on down the Station Square for some Halloween fun.
