DESCRIPTION:The leafy street of Josephine Avenue is set to transform into an open-air gallery this summer as Urban Art 2024 returns on the 13th and 14th of July. Celebrating its 22nd year\, this much-anticipated event will showcase a diverse array of artistic talent\, featuring works from painters\, photographers\, printmakers\, and mixed media artists. Open 10am to 6pm both days. Free entry. \nWith over a 120 artists hanging their work and thousands of pieces for sale\, Urban Art 2024 promises to be an unforgettable weekend filled with creativity\, community spirit\, and charitable giving. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore and purchase original artworks displayed along the railings of Josephine Avenue. This is a rare chance to acquire affordable art pieces directly from the artists themselves\, making it an ideal event for collectors and art enthusiasts alike. \n\n\n\nUrban Art 2024 not only provides a platform for artists to exhibit their work but also fosters a sense of community by raising funds for local good cause: the Anchor Project\, Southside Rehabilitation Project\, Holy Trinity School and Jubilee Primary School. 10% of all sales will go to these event charity partners. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun filled day in our beautiful garden.  Enjoy fresh produce\, craft products\, refreshments and entertainment for all ages! \n ​ \nFull programme to be announced.Free entry\, please register here for your free ticket. \nAbout L’Arche\nOur Community includes over 30 people with learning disabilities\, who we support at home and in our workshops. Alongside them are our faithful community members\, volunteers\, friends\, and neighbours\, all of whom play an integral role in fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Additionally\, our team of dedicated L’Arche assistants adds further support and care to our core members. \n \nWe also have a wide-ranging programme of day activities\, which is open to people with disabilities living in or outside L’Arche. We work with individuals to develop daily living skills\, we make space for creativity and fun and we are passionate about helping people to reach their goals.\nThe hubs for our activities programme is our two amazing workshops. Our large community garden workshop is where we support people to harvest and grow fruit\, vegetables and flowers. We sell some of our produce locally and share the rest between our Community houses and friends. In our craft workshop\, people make and sell beautiful products\, such as handmade cards\, candles\, embroideries and much more. Our talented drama group creates its productions\, scripts\, costumes and props from scratch and performs in local churches and theatres.
