Lowie Sashiko Style Mending Workshop

Lowie girls Natalie & Poppy will teach you how to repair your clothing with sashiko style patching and stitching, bringing them back to life and adding something beautiful.

 

Please bring along an item to mend and we will provide the needles, threads, scissors and even some fabric scraps to use for patching. If you have some lovely yarn or threads you would like to use then please bring those along too!

 

Sashiko has its roots in Japan and was used to repair farmers clothing by reinforcing the fabric and mending holes and tears. It goes back centuries and is still used today.

 

The workshop is beginner friendly.
