Return to Parliament

It was a fantastic turn out for the Brockwell water polo team for the third meeting with our friends from Parliament Hill. Having won a game each so far this year, it was all to play for yesterday evening at St Joseph’s College (Brockwell’s winter training venue).  With only eight players verses Brockwell’s mighty twenty, Parliament Hill gained a share of the Brockwell team for the evening to allow for both sides to have the much welcomed substitutions.  Brockwell’s coach Steve Baker was on refereeing duties for the evening, the whistle was blown and the game began.

Brockwell Summer Water Polo is back!

Brockwell Spring Relays 2018

Brockwell will be holding it's first SPRING RELAYS on Thursday 31st May, 8pm to 9pm and we are looking for swimmers to represent our wonderful Lido. Speed is not essential, it's the taking part that counts.

If you would like to swim a length, or two, please contact us letting us know which strokes you can do and your date of birth. We are also looking for time-keepers, judges and volunteers, so if you fancy helping please let us know.

A big step forward for Brockwell Swimmers

At a Special General Meeting on the 1st October swimmers present voted in favour of becoming a registered Community Amateur Sport Club, a 'CASC'. This has now been approved by the Inland Revenue.

The Community Amateur Sports Club scheme was introduced in 2002 as an option for sports clubs to register with HMRC to receive 'charity type' tax reliefs. The very successful South London Swimming Club at Tooting Lido is also a CASC.

To register Brockwell Swimmers has met the following qualifying conditions:

• We are open to the whole community.

Swimming the Difference

On Saturday 30th September at 9am Brockwell Swimmers will be swimming a 5 Kilometre relay (100 lengths) to raise money for the MacMillan cancer charity at their annual All Out Swim. It’s the perfect combination of swimming, raising money for, and raising awareness of, the amazing work they do.

Water Polo starts at Brockwell Lido

Evening Water Polo will be starting at Brockwell Lido on Monday 29th May. The sessions are organised by the pool's Brockwell Swimmers club and coached by the excellent Jim Boucher.

No experience of the game is neccessary and players ranges from the complete novices to experienced goal scorers. All abilities are welcome as long as you are a competent swimmer, can tread water and know how to have a laugh. Drinks afterwards at the Prince of Regent.
