At a Special General Meeting on the 1st October swimmers present voted in favour of becoming a registered Community Amateur Sport Club, a 'CASC'. This has now been approved by the Inland Revenue.
The Community Amateur Sports Club scheme was introduced in 2002 as an option for sports clubs to register with HMRC to receive 'charity type' tax reliefs. The very successful South London Swimming Club at Tooting Lido is also a CASC.
To register Brockwell Swimmers has met the following qualifying conditions:
