Using Instagram for Your Business - a 3 hour social media workshop in Herne Hill with Anna from I am a social media consultant with a background in PR.

This workshop is perfect for anyone setting up their business or organisation Instagram account or who has an established account but wants to make sure they're making the most of the features. We'll go through everything step by step and there will of course be time for discussion and questions.

Fundraising workshop at Carnegie Library this Saturday 22nd

A workshop on fundraising techniques will be held at the Carnegie Library this Saturday.

This will be an opportunity to network with other local community groups and to share experiences
and expertise on fundraising. We will also invite expert speakers to give advice.


There will be discussion about the idea of starting a 'parish' council for the Camberwell/Loughborough Junction area.

The date is Saturday 22nd March, 12.30-2:30 at the Gallery, Carnegie Library, 188 Herne Hill Rd.
Refreshments/snacks will be provided.

Lambeth Wind Orchestra's BESTIARIUM 5th February

Lambeth Wind Orchestra invites you to join them in Tulse Hill at Holy Trinity & St Matthias Church, Trinity Rise, in a one day workshop and concert featuring BESTIARIUM, a brand new nine-movement suite wind orchestra with beastly contributions from today’s top composers for band including:

• Philip Sparke (whale)
• Robert W. Smith (apes)
• Oscar Navarro (fly)
• Bert Appermont (tropical fishes)
• Ferrer Ferran (Tyrannosaurus Rex)

Players of woodwind, brass or percussion instruments (aged 16+ and of minimum Grade 6 standard) are welcome. We will work on BESTIARIUM and other pieces from 9.30am-2.30pm, finishing with a free, informal concert for family, friends and supporters from 3.00-4.15pm. The fee to attend is £8.00. Celebrating the hidden world of south London's artisans

Artisans from Herne Hill, Brixton and beyond will be opening the doors of Brixton East Gallery on 20 April, inviting members of the public to see the work and skill that goes into their creations and giving them the chance to have a go themselves.

Music Umbrella's Half Term Hallowe'en Workshop



This half-term, come and join Music Umbrella for some scary fun!

For two days in the function rooms of the Cambria pub in Camberwell we'll be writing spooky songs, devising some drama, painting our faces and putting on a little show.

Taking a ghost story as our basis we'll put on a short play, with songs to match.



The workshop will take place on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th October, upstairs in the function rooms of the Cambria, 40 Kemerton Road, Camberwell, SE5 9AD.

Running from 10am until 3pm each day, costing £65/£75 with lunch.

Suitable for children from 7 - 12 years old.

Scratchy violins, horrible sound effects and small ghosts all welcome!

Music Umbrella - book now for new podcast workshop


The people behind Music Umbrella will be running an extra course in the Summer holidays, called Podcast Premiere.

Over 3 days kids between 8 and 12 years old are invited to come along to the Cambria and ceate a buzzy radio programme, with chat, drama, and music all involved. On the final day they'll go to a professional recording studio and record the result.
