Wonderful Winter Solstice closer for HHFFF

In Pursuit of Silence was the wonderful Winter Solstice closing film for Herne Hill Free Film Festival's special '12 Films of Christmas' season and it screened at a fabulous venue too, the South London Botanical Institute in Norwood Road.

South London Botanical Institute - Plant Drawing Evening - 26th Oct

On Oct 26th from 7:30pm, the South London Botanical Institute invite you to a free Plant Drawing Evening - an informal and supportive drop-in group which meets to draw plants from the garden and herbarium, share refreshments and advice The group is led by Helen Firminger. The SLBI is at 323 Norwood Road SE24 9AQ - just five minutes walk from the Park's Norwood gate.

Starting on Feather Mosses - South London Botanical Institute course Wednesdays in Oct

The South London Botanical Institute's course Starting on Feather Mosses will run on Wednesdays in October.
June Chatfield will lead this five-week course on Feather Mosses, large attractive plants from a range of habitats identifiable in the field. She will use brought in samples, leaves and SLBI garden specimens. Booking essential.
