Sarah Moule

Herne Hill Festival News - Day 9 - Sarah Moule review

More late night jazz tonight at the Half Moon with Renato D'Aiello from 10:30pm - 11:45pm (£5/£3) to close the Fest and here's a review of the Sarah Moule and Simon Wallace show which happened in the same slot last night ...

"The Half Moon was graced last night by three short expressions of musical delight, rounded off by the impeccable class of Sarah Moule and Simon Wallace in their show, Femmes Fatales. The songs of of Landeman/Wallace stood shoulder to shoulder with giants of the genre like Stephen Sondheim and Cole Porter. You can't say fairer than that! Being a guy, I am mystified by women ( and bewitched by them) and trying to understand what a femmes fatales actually is left me somewhat short on wattage. However, the quality of the songs and the wonderful vocal control of Sarah Moules allowed my poor male brain to be wooed, seduced and won over by this powerful show." - Rupert Ingham

London Consorts of Winds, White & Sims, Sarah Moule TONIGHT

Tonight we have a tripleheader at the Half Moon. London Consort of Winds take the early slot from 7:30pm - 8:40pm ... presenting a repertoire of arrangements for clarinets of music, some familiar, some more unusual. Also a healthy supply of

Herne Hill Fest News - Sarah Moule pops by St Faith's ... and gets a pic with Alan Taylor!

Jazz/blues/cabaret singer Sarah Moule brings her well-reviewed and ecletic one-woman show Femmes Fatales to the Herne Hill Music Festival in the "late night" jazz slot at the Half Moon Pub on Friday the 19th, 10:30pm start. Hopefully with Simon Wallace on keys! Anyway, she'll be doing songs by Teddy Thompson, Ida Cox, Fran Landesman & Simon Wallace, Jacques Prévert, Nellie Lutcher, Cole Porter and Leiber & Stoller. Sarah came by St Faith's before FifteenB Consort's performance on Saturday night to say hi & drop off some flyers ... and we took this photo of Sarah with her Half Moon flyer, and another with Festival Director Alan Taylor! Sweet!

Sarah Moule at the Herne Hill Music Festival - Half Moon, 19th October

Sarah Moule is performing at the Herne Hill Music Festival at the Half Moon Pub on Friday, 19th October. Her show FEMMES FATALES - SONGS FOR THE FALLEN WILD & WICKED has been getting great reviews:

'Compelling', 'empowering' and 'highly original' was the audience reaction to this new show. It celebrates the iconic figure of the femme fatale in all her feisty glory as heroine, heartbreaker, rule-breaker and role model. Devised with the great American lyricist Fran Landesman who died in July 2011.

Sarah and her accompanist Simon Wallace did a BBC London radio interview with Jumoke Fashola last week. She plugged the Herne Hill Music Festival and she got us the audio of her guest slot, which includes music. You can hear an edited extract of this in the embedded audioplayer below.
