LWO Red Nose Day Concert 2015 with bakeoff judged by Love & Cake!

It doesn't get much better than this! On Thursday March 12th Lambeth Wind Orchestra puts on a special Red Nose Day 2015 concert at Herne Hill United Church, which of course means a fabulous programme of light classical music but also includes games, a raffle, a quiz ... plus a baking competition to be judged by Herne Hill Market's own Love & Cake! Free entry, but donations collected towards Comic Relief's Red Nose Day. LWO is a South London Concert Band based in Herne Hill and performs a varied programme of music for the community. LWO's conductor John Holland is a massive baker! Love & Cake is a Leiths-trained baker and maker of homemade cake and brownies, and is in Herne Hill Farmers’ Market every Sunday from 10am to 4pm. A brilliant joining of local forces and a Herne Hill event not to be missed! Herne Hill United Church, Red Post Hill, SE24 9PW, Thursday, March 12 at 7:45pm.

Cambria Choir, open rehearsals coming up

Cambria Choir Open Rehearsals, Monday September 9th and 16th

Hello!

We're a friendly, mixed ability, gender and ages choir, singing a wide range of pop music. Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7.15 until 9pm, costing £5 per week. The Cambria pub is situated on the corner of Kemerton Road, Herne Hill/Camberwell, SE5. We rehearse upstairs.

We've been running for almost 3 years now, under the co-directorship of Sarah Fisher and Lucy Harrower (nee Davies).

From September 2013, Lucy will be on maternity leave. Sarah will take the first two rehearsals on September 9th and September 16th. Then every other week, you will be treated to different singing workshops from visiting choir directors, specialising in  a wide range of music. Sessions remain only £5. Every other week Sarah will direct, building our repertoire for the Christmas concert.
