Final Herne Hill Music Fest Update & Artist Profile! HHFM ends today, 19th

3 events to wrap up this year's Herne Hill Music Festival on Saturday the 19th! And again, as with last Saturday, a bit of a local Music Trail! Hope it stays dry ...

We lead off with Joining Together to Make Music, a free event at 1pm in the Tippett Music Centre (Milkwood at Heron Roads) when School pupils and members of Dulwich Symphony Orchestra join forces to perform a lunchtime concert, which will include two original pieces of music. The first is 'Film Music', a new piece written for the occasion by Alan Taylor, based on musical ideas suitable for film music invented by the pupils of Tippett Music Centre. The concert will also include a performance by DSO of Cold Eye by Alan Taylor, and pieces performed by the wind and string ensembles at the Music Centre.

Herne Hill Music Fest WEEKEND RECAP! The Secular, the Sacred & everything-in-between!

We're working on a Festival Music Trail! Progress so far:

The Festival got off to a flying start on Friday at a sold-out Prince Regent with Django jazz from locals The Crispy Hot Club followed by ace blues stalwarts Steve Morrison and Alan Glen.

Saturday a super busy day - Fest's busiest - beginning with The Calton String Quartet at the Carnegie Library in Herne Hill Road for string classics at lunchtime and snacks laid on by Carnegie Friends.
