Herne Hill Station could become an energy garden station

Herne Hill Station already has a piano - used by loads of talented locals - how about turning the unused space on the platforms into an ENERGY GARDEN? 

The ENERGY GARDEN plan is to "transform as many as 50 London Overground platforms and stations into thriving gardens that will incorporate food growing plots and solar energy, providing on-site renewable energy for lighting, water pumps or other small scale station amenities.

Tues 4th 16:00 - Image released over 20 hours old now but this CCTV image released from Weds 29th Jan shows Dot in Herne Hill Station on Platform 1/2. Very latest is that First Capital Connect trains are now looking at their CCTV footage.

The Department for Transport has asked for your opinions on the proposed changes to our Thameslink train service that include terminating our Wimbeldon/Sutton loop trains at Blackfriars. Upon implementation, you will no longer have direct service to all stations to Bedford including:

Sunday 9th September 2012 - 11:00am - 3:00pm: to publicise the Herne Hill Music Festival, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Herne Hill Station, and to entertain visitors at the Herne Hill Sunday Market, there'll be a FREE continuous supply of entertaining music provided by a range of wind and folk ensemble. 3 ensembles lined up for certain - The Ingham Swing Ensemble, London Consorts of Winds, and The Hobos (folk trio). Two more ensembles still TBC; plus Pullens has joined Brockwell Arts and JazzOnTheHill in sponsorship. Hooray!
