Every day, 90 people are diagnosed with cancer in London. Cancer Research UK is urging women of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities to enter Race for Life 5k or 10k events at Crystal Palace on 10th June and 5k, 10k, Pretty Muddy and Pretty Muddy Kids events at Clapham Common on 6th and 7th October.

By signing up to Race for Life, women in London will make a real difference in the fight against cancer. Money raised will help Cancer Research UK scientists find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease, helping save more lives.

Herne Hill parties get that magic touch

If you or your kids love illusion, now’s your chance to throw a magic party featuring astonishing shows at Herne Hill’s unique 20-seater theatre.

Counting Down to a Magical Christmas

If your kids are already excitedly counting down the days until Christmas, send them over to the window of the Illusioneer. Every year, the little Half Moon Lane theatre pulls out all the stops for a festive display that gradually changes throughout December to tell a seasonal story.

Expect to see festive scenes of snow, Santa and surprises — of course, with some Christmas magic thrown in.

Brockwell Park Explored

Come along and see Brockwell Park in a whole new light with Dance Umbrella's Walking Stories in October.

You don't come to see Walking Stories, you and 20 other participants create Walking Stories.   It's very straightforward.  Simply follow the instructions on your headset, wander around Brockwell Park creating patterns as you go, and lose yourself in the music and the words.  During the course of the next hour you will be inspired, exhilarated and soothed.  It gives you an hour to completely zone out of daily life.

Are you looking for something fun packed and sporty to amuse the family this Good Friday?
