Herne Hill Music Festival has sadly had to cancel Jazz-Factor, elimination Round 1, which would have taken place very soon, for lack of community uptake. In a schedule shakeup, the Festival has decided that to run this as a competition is not feasible in 2013. The semi-finals planned for September will also be cancelled with a view to converting the Finals previously set for October into a 'Jazz-Factor Showcase' and to build for 2014. Showcase dateline is Oct 18th. Stay tuned for more info as it happens.
Alongside JazzFactor we're also putting on Young JazzFactor this year ... so if you're under 18 and play jazz, are a soloist or a band or anything in-between, enter the competition!
The First Round takes place Sat July 13th from 3-5pm @ St Saviour's Hall, Herne Hill Road, SE24. Come along, perform your best stuff, and win yourself a place in the Semi-Finals! Decisions will be made by a panel of experts plus an audience vote – so bring along your friends too!
