Brockwell Lido opening delayed

Message from Clare Motton, Brockwell Lido General Manager to BLU on 28th March

I regret to have to inform you that we have experienced a problem with the expansion joints as we have begun filling the pool. This unfortunately means that we are currently draining the pool and the additional works are due to start tomorrow. We will begin filling again over the weekend and will communicate a revised opening time shortly. We are working hard to resolve this as soon as possible as we still want to open the pool in early April.

Once again I sincerely apologise for the delay but I am sure you will agree with me that it is better to make the repairs now.

Meeting at the Lido to review new gym layout plan tomorrow Feb 2nd

There will be a meeting at the Lido on Thurs Feb 2nd (Whippersnappers, 6:30pm) to discuss Fusion's new gym layout. This is a followup to the previous consultation process, which included two meetings when a pair of designs were floated and users in attendance gave feedback. Fusion took away those plans and the comments and have now come up with a single, final design. This is what will be reviewed, and the session will be led by Lido manager Clare Motton along with Fusion regional manager Mark Braithwaite. You can see a drawing of the new plan below. Hope you can make the meeting. There may not be another chance for input.

Brockwell Park car park closure

Feasibility group for winter swimming at Brockwell Lido

12th August:

Would you like to be able to swim at the Lido all year round? Or for at least much of the winter? Would you buy a winter season swimming ticket, or welcome winter swimming to your membership? If so, you should know that a dedicated group is trying to get this started by exploring feasibility and adding names to their list of interested parties. If interested in adding your name to the list, send an email to: lidousers@aol.com

Or collect a card like the one pictured here in Lido reception - there's space to add your info on the reverse (we'd put it up here but the ink is ultra-light powder blue and very hard to get a copy of online). Then fill it out and put it in the Lido drop box.
