Getting swim-fit for free

The Brockwell Swimmers club continues to grow with over a one hundred members. Always keen to welcome new swimmers, they have introduced a FREE trial session for their Tuesday Swim Evenings at the JAGs Sports Centre SE24 or the Sunday Water Polo at St Josephs, Beulah Hill SE19.

A Positive future for Brockwell Sports Clubs?

Following a Freedom of Information request, Brockwell Swimmers club have obtained a copy of this year’s Annual Service Delivery Plan 2018-2019 as agreed in February by the Brockwell Lido Steering Commitee, Fusion Lifestyle and Lambeth Council. This is an important document as it outlines what contractual services the managing company must provide during the following 12 months.

Brockwell Spring Relays 2018

On the evening of Thursday 31st May, swimming clubs from across London met for the very first Brockwell Spring Relays.

Brockwell Summer Water Polo is back!

Summer is back and so is Monday night Water Polo at Brockwell Lido starting 4th June, 8pm to 9pm. We have a limited season of seven evenings so we suggest you book now to avoid missing all the fun.

Brockwell Spring Relays 2018

Brockwell will be holding it's first SPRING RELAYS on Thursday 31st May, 8pm to 9pm and we are looking for swimmers to represent our wonderful Lido. Speed is not essential, it's the taking part that counts.

If you would like to swim a length, or two, please contact us letting us know which strokes you can do and your date of birth. We are also looking for time-keepers, judges and volunteers, so if you fancy helping please let us know.

Get Swim Fit for 2018

The Brockwell Swimmers Club are going indoors to start 2018 with new swimming sessions at the nearby JAGs Sports Club. These will happen every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm starting 16th January. Their first ten sessions will concentrate on improving freestyle technique and will be led by ASA level 3 qualified coach Stephen Baker.

More Brockwell Water Polo

Brockwell Swimmers club will be running more Water Polo session at St Josephs College pool SE19 this Winter and Spring. These coached sessions are for all abilities of swimmer, whether you are a seasoned player or an absolute beginner, everyone is welcome. The club will then be returning to Brockwell Lido in April for the Summer Season when the evenings get lighter and the water gets warmer.

Field Day 2018 in Brockwell Park - public meeting 20th Nov

It looks like Field Day and Love Box are both coming to Brockwell Park next year, with Field Day moving over from Victoria Park. Sally’s written to us on our Facebook mentioning getting a letter concerning a meeting to review plans put in place at 7pm on Monday November 20th at Herne Hill Baptist Church.

Brockwell Lido Meet the Managers 14th Nov

Fusion Lifestyle will be holding their Meet the Managers meeting at Brockwell Lido on Tuesday 14th November, 7pm to 8pm. These 'quarterly' meetings were originally requested by the Brockwell Lido Steerng Committee back in November 2016. This is the second to take place.

These sessions are designed to provide an opportunity for customers to discuss the day to day running of the centre, offer suggestions and chat about the future running of the centre. All issues raised and action points will be presented on the feedback board in the reception area after the meeting.

A big step forward for Brockwell Swimmers

At a Special General Meeting on the 1st October swimmers present voted in favour of becoming a registered Community Amateur Sport Club, a 'CASC'. This has now been approved by the Inland Revenue.

The Community Amateur Sports Club scheme was introduced in 2002 as an option for sports clubs to register with HMRC to receive 'charity type' tax reliefs. The very successful South London Swimming Club at Tooting Lido is also a CASC.

To register Brockwell Swimmers has met the following qualifying conditions:
