Dyslexia assessments for school, education and university

Leda Dadkhah BA Hons PGCE PATOSS APC MIfL QTLS has taught in community and further education for 20 years. She is a specialist teacher/assessor in dyslexia with particular expertise in assistive technology and is a certified TextHelp trainer. Leda is qualified to assess dyslexia for education including the DSA (Disabled Students Allowance) for university applications. Leda is a national trainer on dyslexia and equality issues and can also advise on applications to the Access to Work Programme.

Full dyslexia assessments can take place in your home in a quiet room, or in a location to suit both parties, they tend to take between 2 - 2.5 hours depending on the purpose. The report is then written up and a time arranged to discuss it preferably in person. This assessment then acts as a statement of dyslexia and can be used to obtain support in educational/ university/workplace settings. The DSA report for university support is slightly more involved and takes around 3 hours in total.

Leda is a member of PATOSS (Professional Association of Tutors of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties) and The Institute for Learning, she has personal and professional indemnity insurance. Leda is listed as an assessor/ tutor on the SASC (SpLD Assessment Standards Committee) website

Leda lives in Herne Hill and her rates are very competitive to enable greater access to assessments

Fees for a full assessment are £250 for an educational (school or college) assessment (non DSA) and DSA assessments are £350
