Southwark Tenant Conference 2015 - 17th October, 8:40am

This year’s conference will be at 8.40am (8.40-9.40am registration) – 5pm Saturday 17th October 2015.

This will take place at the William Booth College, Champion Park, London SE5 8BG.

The conference has been run for the last sixteen years. It provides residents who live on Southwark council managed properties with an opportunity to meet their peers, council officers, councilors to discuss and debate key issues affecting their homes. The theme for this year’s event is the housing crisis in London.

  • The event programme will include the following: o Guest speakers – confirmed Helen Hayes MP and Pat Turnbull from the London Housing Federation
  • Workshops on the following topics: youth Involvement, responsive repairs, the council new house building programme and universal credit. 
  • Question Time Debate
  • A ‘market place’ with stalls. Representatives from the council contractors and other service providers will be available in this area 
  • Entertainment provided by the Sacred Heart School choir and the Suzy dance group.
  • Junior Dragons’ Den
  • Lunch and raffle
