Southeastern Rail delays via Herne Hill - update

Dear stakeholder

Once again, we are very sorry about the disruption to some services this morning, again caused by over-running engineering works.  We sincerely hope that this morning’s over-run does not have a knock-on impact on evening peak services as happened last night and we do advise passengers to check before travelling.

Following yesterday’s disruption we wrote to Network Rail in the strongest possible terms to express our frustration and dissatisfaction about the disruption on behalf of our passengers. They have responded by launching an urgent review, which we’ll be taking part in. They have also decided to postpone some similar works until they have got to the bottom of the issues that caused these problems.

Yesterday’s and today’s disruption is not acceptable and we’re sorry to those passengers affected. On behalf of our passengers we will continue to press Network Rail to fix the problems as quickly as possible.

Anyone delayed by more than 30 minutes should claim delay repay compensation from the Southeastern website.”
