Save Our Lollipop Men and Women - Sit in Protest

SAVE OUR LOLLIPOP MEN & WOMEN

BY JOINING A ROAD SIT-IN PROTEST

4PM FRIDAY 11TH FEBRUARY 2011

OUTSIDE ST JUDE’S C. E. PRIMARY SCHOOL, REGENT ROAD SE24 (off Dulwich Road opposite Lido)

Lambeth is axing its provision of Lollipop men and women throughout the borough. This is an ill-thought out, short-sighted, money-saving scheme that puts our children’s lives in danger. Lambeth primary schools must come together and fight this measure.

There were almost 1,200 accidents in the Lambeth last year, the third-highest rate in the capital. It is unjustifiable to cut back on this core service that is vital to children’s safety. Lambeth has endured two previous recessions without cutting these hugely popular and affordable posts. No other London borough considers it an option.

We demand that Lambeth re-thinks this foolish policy.
