The Herne Hill Forum invites residents, local businesses and stakeholders to a public meeting on Thursday 8th October at 7:00pm at Herne Hill Baptist Church, Half Moon Lane, SE24 9HU.
The focus of the meeting will be the mounting rubbish problem in the area.  We will also be introducing the Neighbourhood Planning initiative for Herne Hill and consulting on key themes for this, including litter.  We will use the meeting as a platform to find joint solutions for Herne Hill's rubbish problem - please come armed with ideas and energy!
We will be be joined by Helen Hayes, our local MP and many of the Councillors for Southwark and Lambeth, and have also invited local landlords including Network Rail.
We hope you can join us in fighting against our local tide of rubbish and look forward to seeing you on the 8th October.

Comments

We are definitely coming to this, we have been trying to get commercial rubbish bins since the 24th August and we still do not have them. We are calling Lambeth Council pretty much on a daily basis and are just being told that we have to wait for someone to contact us ....No wonder there is a mounting rubbish issue, we are currently paying private contractors to take away our rubbish which is costing a small fortune for a small business!
