Remarkable performance for Dylan Day at the Half Moon
Fabulous one-man recital of 'Under Milk Wood' from Martin Oelbermann on Monday night in the Workshop at The Half Moon.
What a treat! Not only did we witness delivery of an iconic text in Dylan Thomas' old drinking establishment and on Dylan Day, we also witnessed a remarkable theatrical talent, up close and personal, delivering a solo performance encompassing all the characters.
Martin Oelbermann is German-born and studied Theatre, Philosophy and French in Northern Ireland. During his time at Ulster University, Martin was an active member of Riverside Players, a theatre company specialising in Shakespearean and Jacobean drama. He then trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. You may remember seeing him in the role of Heinrich Eberstadt in the 2016 film 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' based on the J. K. Rowling book about the magical creatures in the Harry Potter universe.
