New Brockwell Park festival offers young people chance to perform
Organisers of the JOM Micro Festival in Brockwell Park on 16th September are extending the 20 act line-up to offer 3 additional single song slots to young people who wish to experience the buzz of performing with full sound equipment and a sound engineer. For further details or to apply email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The original 20 acts are young performers (aged 4 to 17) and regular attendees of the Herne Hill Junior Open Mic & Brixton Junior Open Mic sessions. Some are performing in public for the first time and others are seasoned veterans. The line-up includes recordists, punk bands, award winning soul singers, drummers and even a funked up ‘Drunken Sailor’ piano concerto.
The JOM micro-festival is a free, community event celebrating young performance supported by Brockwell Park Community Partners and Off The Cuff Bar. Limited free tickets are available here
