More Blooming Herne Hill News

After two incredibly successful and fun days of planter making we are now onto the next step of our project - it's finally time to plant

On Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th, we've got a whole bunch of bloomin' lovely flowers arriving that will then need to be planted into the gorgeous new planters as well as the tree pits outside Brockwell park and once again, we need your help to make this happen.

Here's all you need to know:

When and where? Tuesday 11th June from 10am to 1pm outside Blackbird Bakery and Thursday 20th June, from 10am to 1pm at the big tree outside the main gates to Brockwell Park. Please note date change of the second planting day, from Wednesday 12th, due to the poor weather forecast.

What? We will be planting all the new all the new plants into the planters as well as the tree pits outside Brockwell Park. The tree pits will also require a bit of weeding so be prepared to do some kneeling and you will be rewarded with tea and biscuits.

What do I need to bring? We will provide gloves, spades, a few kneeler, etc but please do bring your own gloves or kneelers if you own some. We will also provide tea and biscuits but please do bring along a water bottle.

We need a fair few volunteers for both days so please do spread the word: if you'd like to volunteer your support on either or both of the days, please get in touch! Email volunteering@hernehillforum.org.uk
