The Mind's Release: Introduction to Buddhism and Meditation
This six-week course offers an overview of basic Buddhist concepts and principles and an exploration of two core meditation practices that bring about self-awareness, change and spiritual insight.
Each week we will examine the core principles of Buddhism and meditation and explore why these ancient practices are relevant to our lives today, helping us lead a fuller, richer, happier life. These topics will be explored through meditation, discussion and reflection with short exercises to do between sessions.
This course is suitable for newcomers to Buddhism and meditation, as well as those who want to take their practices deeper as classes will develop around people's own questions and experience.
Classes are held on Tuesdays from 7:15-9:15 pm, beginning May 1st.
The course will take place at the Brixton Pound Cafe, 77 Atlantic Road SW9 8PU. Booking for the course is essential.
