Scheme Manager (Maternity cover)

 

Home-Start Lambeth supports families with young children through recruiting and training volunteers to provide practical help and emotional support for families in their homes.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a thriving voluntary organisation and make a difference to lives of children and families. You should have experience of working in the voluntary sector, of managing staff and of recruiting and supporting volunteers. The successful candidate will have experience of working directly with families and have knowledge of parenting support.

You will also have experience of managing local government funding, fundraising and have an understanding of finance and administration issues in small organisations.  The role requires ensuring services are delivered to the highest standard; overseeing all aspects of the local operation, including managing income and expenditure, and fulfilling all monitoring compliances.  Networking experience in the voluntary sector is also important. You will also have excellent organizational and administrative skills and will be computer literate. 

 

Home-Start Lambeth is a small scheme which is currently commissioned by the local authority and supported by private grants. It has been working in the area for over 10 years and has a successful track record of providing high quality support to families. We are seeking an experienced and flexible person who can respond positively to the changing environment in which we are working and who enjoys working closely with a small and experienced team.
