Can I just add that the Charter Christmas Fair includes a free glass of mulled wine for all the adults (thanks to the lovely people at Hamptons) - just the thing to get you in the festive (shopping) spirit! There will be over 50 stalls, food and drink, and live music from the school's talented student musicians. Hope to see you there!
Local Christmas Fairs!
It’s Winter Fair and Christmas Bazaar time in the Herne Hill area! Last weekend St Phillip and St James (just off Poplar Walk at Lowden) had their annual Christmas Fair - yet again well attended with lots on. https://ssphilipandjameshernehill.wordpress.com/
And this weekend (24th Nov., 11-3pm), it’s the 20th annual Carnegie Library Winter Fair transplanted to St Saviour’s (Herne Hill Rd at Finsen) - referred to as the Friends of Carnegie Library Winter Fair since the library was taken over by GLL. A sort of “Carnegie Library Winter Fair In Exile” if you like! The Friends miss their old home and garden but look forward to reconnecting with old friends. All welcome! http://friendsofcarnegielibrary.org.uk
The Charter School North Dulwich (Red Post Hill, SE24 9JH) will be holding its annual Christmas Fair on Thursday 29th November from 5.30pm to 8.30pm with local artists and designers selling their work, a tombola on the night, and fabulous prizes! And just in from the Charter School: "includes a free glass of mulled wine for all the adults (thanks to the lovely people at Hamptons) - just the thing to get you in the festive (shopping) spirit! There will be over 50 stalls, food and drink, and live music from the school's talented student musicians. Hope to see you there!" https://www.charternorthdulwich.org.uk/
The only outdoor Fair on this list, Herne Hill Market offers its annual Christmas Market on Saturday 1st December, from 10-4pm. It is one among four City and Country Farmer's Markets offering Yuletide Fairs. The others include Stepney, Alexandra Palace and Oval. All offering festive tipples, live music, workshops for kids ... and a visit from Mrs Christmas. www.weareccfm.com
And last on this list is the Friends of Brockwell Park Winter Fayre on Sun. 2nd December which is billed as our chance to “cut out the corporates” and support local businesses. Sounds like a festive formula! 11-5pm in Brockwell Hall. Always well-attended with unique craft gifts, including honey from Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses! http://www.friendsofbrockwellpark.org/event_cat/winter-fair/
Thanks for the update!
Jim, the Charter Christmas Fair flyer in the article is from last year, and gives the date as the 23rd. This year's fair is on the 29th - flyer attached - could you possibly replace is in the article? Many thanks. leaflet_2018_hr_a5.pdf
