Listen to the River: a new musical inspired by John Ruskin
“Listen to the River” is inspired by the children’s story “The King of the Golden River”, written by John Ruskin, who was born 200 years ago in Herne Hill. The musical has been created by Paul Ayres, composer & arranger, choral conductor & musical director, and organist & accompanist
In this brand new musical, Year 5 from St Saviour’s School play the roles of Effra (our local river), and of three groups of people who work, relax, and play by the water: The Urbans, The Rurals, and The Children. Who will learn the wisdom of treaing the river in the best way for everyone?
It will be performed at St Saviour's Hall on Thursday October 10th, at 5.30pm
