Lambeth Welcomes Refugees - a Thank You to Herne Hill

We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who brought donations for Lambeth Welcomes Refugees to Station Hall over the past week or so - from the photo above, you can see what a huge selection of toys, clothes and household items were brought, sorted and bundled up.

We are so glad to have had the opportunity to help some of the refugee families settled in the area, and we will update as and when there are any future call-outs for more donations - it may be that there will be specific requirements for larger items like buggies or cots from time to time, and the Forum may be able to put potential donors in touch with LWR to arrange collection.

In addition, if you have toys or books to donate, you can bring these to Station Hall to drop off to Get Rid of It and Donate, but please note this is by appointment only, on Thursdays and Fridays 11 - 2pm and Sundays 12 - 4pm - please do not bring items to Station Hall at other times, or leave bags outside. Get Rid of It and Donate can also find new homes for larger items, if you contact them directly to arrange collection.

As soon as we have details of any future donation needs, we'll update you all - in the mean time, thank you - your generosity means so much to us and to the people you've helped.
