Herne Hill Local Election Hustings

Worried about litter and flytipping? Parking and traffic? Events in Brockwell Park? The future of Carnegie Library? Affordable housing?

Come and meet the borough council election candidates for Herne Hill (Lambeth) and Dulwich Village (Southwark) wards at our hustings event, Tuesday 17th April, at Herne Hill Baptist Church, Half Moon Lane, SE27 9HU. Doors open at 6.30, hustings will start at 7.

It's your chance to have your say about the issues that concern you in Herne Hill, and we want to hear from you. You can submit your questions in to advance to Alison@hernehillforum.org.uk, or come along on the night to join the debate from the floor. We look forward to seeing you.

For 2018 there has been a reassessment of the security and crowd management plan for the event. This means we have had to make changes to the layout of the show to make sure it is safe for everyone attending. There will be a full perimeter fence around the show site and extra security measures in place throughout the event and Brockwell Park itself. Everyone attending the show will be subject to mandatory bag and body searches on entry so are advised to allow extra time to get in. Please be aware of the prohibited items listed in the FAQ section below and note that CCTV will be in operation throughout the show.

The event is extremely popular with residents and visitors alike, so we encourage people to come early and avoid the busiest peak times from 3 – 5pm and be prepared to queue. We are grateful for your support and patience that will help make sure the Lambeth Country Show is safe and fun for everyone. Last entry in to the event will be 6:30pm on both days.

We have reconfigured a much larger show layout in the park in 2018 for a better visitor experience and we’ve increased the size of popular areas such as the Main Arena and the newly named Brockwell Farm. The main funfair will not be returning this year, however we will still have the children’s funfair and bouncy castle rides.
