There is a treat in store for all you local Herne Hill-ers on Sunday 18th September.  If you go up the hill in Brockwell Park to the Community Greenhouses you will find a feast of great music and locally prepared delicious food.

From 11.30am to 2.30pm, there's family pizza making in The Greenhouses cob oven....especially good for young ones and for any bread makers out there. Read on....   This is a free event although donations are welcome to help us continue our outdoor learning programme and keeping our site beautiful for the community.

Then from 3.30pm to 7.30pm, it's the turn of our musicians to gig in the Upper Greenhouses.  First on, is the wonderful You Are Wolf aka Kerry Andrew.  "English avant-folk at it's finest" says The Observer.  Kerry fuses source material with leftfield pop and contemporary classical stylings, gentle touches of electronica and spoken word, all melded with an array of wild vocal techniques.

In the interval there are going to be delicious food and drinks all prepared from our own home grown ingredients (of course!).

Then, we've got the brilliant, percussive, invigorating iyatraQuartet (photo displayed here) playing as the main act (drums, double base, wind and violin) "Exquisite polyphony....certainly a journey worth joining" says Songlines

We always need new volunteers so do pop in and find out more!  We also have lovely plants and produce for sale.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we hold outdoor learning sessions for schools and families (in the holidays).  If your local school would like to visit us for a session, do get in touch with
