Gig @ the Greenhouses - iyatraQuartet & We Are Wolf on Sept 18th

Get set for a feast of music and food at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses featuring the iyatraQuartet (drums, double base, wind and violin) supported by the You Are Wolf (aka Kerry Andrew) on Sunday 18th September, 3.30pm - 7.30pm! And during the interval, there will be delicious food and drinks all prepared from ingredients grown at the Greenhouses!

According to @frootsmag iyatraQuartet play "roots based, improvised music on orchestral instruments using global sources as a starting point." Songlines review of Iyatra: "Exquisite polyphony....certainly a journey worth joining".

Brixton Buzz ahead of iyatra's Greenhouses gig last year: "Balkan inspired brilliance from iyatraQuartet in the beautiful setting of Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses. With backgrounds in classical, jazz, Cuban, Brazilian and Indian music, iyatraQuartet combine Indian raga with drum and bass rhythms, plain chant with extended percussion techniques and many more influences to create a unique sound."

The Observer on You Are Wolf: "English avant-folk at it's finest". Kerry fuses source material with leftfield pop and contemporary classical stylings, gentle touches of electronica and spoken word, all melded with an array of wild vocal techniques.

You can find Brockwell Community Gardens in the middle of the park, top of the hill, between the tennis courts and the Walled Gardens. Book tix on And there's more! From 11.30 am on the same day there's pizza making in the Greenhouses' cob oven too....especially good for young ones and for any bread makers out there. Read more here:
