Film Screening at Station Hall: "Humboldt: Epic Explorer"

The Friends of Judith Kerr Primary School present a screening of “Humboldt: Epic Explorer”, and a talk/Q&A with director Tilman Remme on Friday, 4 October at 7pm.

The film was shot in Colombia and Ecuador, and follows historian Andrea Wulf as she retraces the steps of Alexander von Humboldt, explorer, naturalist and the man who discovered human-induced climate change in the early 1800s.

Money raised will be used to support the expansion of German provision at Judith Kerr Primary School.

This is a very timely event. Surprising (or maybe not) that von Humboldt warned already 200 years ago that there could be human impact on the climate.
