Dulwich and West Norwood Speaks Up for the Climate!

Local MP Helen Hayes will be chairing this exciting event to bring people from Dulwich and West Norwood together to show the Prime Minister that our area cares about Climate Change ahead of the UN Climate Summit in Paris in December.

Where: St Barnabus Church, 40 Calton Avenue, Dulwich SE21 7DG

Speakers:

Helen Hayes MP (Chair) – Member of Parliament for Dulwich and West Norwood

Loretta Minghella – Chief Executive of Christian Aid

Joe Duggan – Representative of local initiative Crystal Palace Transition Towns

Angus Hanton – Local resident, SE24 Sustainable Energy Community Benefit Society Director

Paul Chambers – Climate Change Expert, SE24 Sustainable Energy Community Benefit Society Director

Please join us for a meeting of local climate change fighters. The government’s recent cut backs to renewable energy funding has hindered the attempts for community energy groups such as SE24 Sustainable Energy to set up locally-owned solar energy installments. We need to come together to discuss what can and must be done to move forward with and without government support. We will prove our local community's commitment to the environment with people's signatures in a letter we will send to David Cameron.

There will be short speeches from the above panel and time for Q&A. We are also inviting local groups campaigning on green issues – from community energy to urban gardening - to come and set out their stall so please do come along to see what’s going on in your area!

We look forward to welcoming you on the 18th November.
