Come in for a cuppa as Olley’s hosts Macmillan Coffee Morning
Olley’s Fish Experience on Norwood Road, Herne Hill, is opening its doors earlier than usual on Friday 30th September as it joins in with Macmillan’s World’s Largest Coffee Morning.
The chippy will have the kettle on from 8am until 11am and is inviting customers to pop in, put their feet up and enjoy a cuppa and a piece of cake in return for a small donation. Amongst the many sweet treats available on the day will be freshly baked cakes donated by local bakeries Mimosa and The Roome, and for those that can’t stay, there is the option to get a takeout.
With one in three people now affected by cancer, owner Harry Niazi is only too keen to host the coffee morning, commenting: “We all know someone who is suffering from, or has suffered with, cancer. Macmillan is always there to provide invaluable support and advice, so this is our way of showing our support and raising much-needed funds to help it continue the amazing work it does and to be there when people need it most.
“So please do pop in, whether it’s on the way to work, as you return from the school run or use it as an excuse to get a group of friends together for a catch up.”
