Clean Air consultation – your next chance to have your say
Soon after his election in May, the Mayor invited Londoners to share their experiences and ideas about improving air quality. More than 15,000 people responded to this consultation on the Talk London website.
The majority of you were broadly supportive of the proposals to expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and to introduce a charge on the most polluting vehicles entering central London in order to clean up London’s air. You can read all about the results of the consultation on the previous blog.
City Hall and Transport for London officials have been working over the summer to develop detailed proposals for the implementation of the Emissions Surcharge (ES), and ways to improve the ULEZ. Find out more about how these schemes might work, and give TfL your views about the proposed plans. The 'Have your say' online survey is at the bottom of the proposed plans.
The consultation closes on 18 December 2016.
