Carnegie Library - 1 year anniversary since the closure

It's one year since the Carnegie Library was closed and occupiers moved in to begin the campaign to save it.  A year on, the campaigners remain energised and focused on fighting for our local libaray, despite GLL having been granted planning permission to begin work on installing a gym on the premises.

On Saturday 1st April supporters, campaigners and residents will come together to raise their voices and creative spirit once again, with an afternoon of creative resistance. It'll be family-friendly, with a dash of silliness (it's April Fool's Day after all) and a lot of determined fight to keep the pressure on for a library to be reinstated in Herne Hill.  Come along to show your support and to thank the campaigners for not giving up.  Activities begin at 1pm.

Only because that means I've been renewing my books from there for an entire year. What should I do with them ?

Keep up the fight for what was such a beautiful space !
