Brixton Green looking for Trustees from Herne Hill

What is Brixton Green?

Brixton Green is a community led initiative for a multi-million pound redevelopment of the land along Somerleyton Road off Coldhabour Lane. It was set up four years ago and is structured as a cooperative trust owned by people who live or work in Brixton. £1 a share, one share per person, one vote per person.


It is currently managed by an experienced interim board supported by a high quality professional team. It has over 700 shareholders.

Trustee elections 17th March

At the AGM in March the shareholders will be electing two new trustees to join the board. Brixton Green is currently looking for candidates to put forward to the shareholders.


To stand to be a trustee you must:


Live or work in the five electoral wards of Brixton(Coldharbour, Ferndale, Brixton Hill, Tulse Hill or Herne Hill).


Be a Brixton Green shareholder by the 3rd March.


Have your application supported by two other shareholders.


Candidates must submit their applications by noon Saturday 3rd March.
