All Together for Dulwich Sports Club
Dulwich Sports Club in collaboration with Crowdfunder and Sports England have launched a crowd-funding campaign to help secure the future of the club post-covid and raise revenues to increase community programmes & opportunites.
The 'All Together' campaign kicked off on Monday and has already caught the attention of Crowdfunder, such has been the response with 100+ already supporting it and pushing it towards the target total. The campaign allows supporters to simply donate money and/or pledge money for 'Rewards' that can then be redeeemed. Many local businesses have offered vouchers & offers, which are being snapped up and if any others would like to be involved they should contact the organisers.
Dulwich Cricket started playing at the Burbage Road site over 150 years ago, with the club being founded in 1867. Since then other sections have steadily been added to sports available and now the Club serves the local community and surrounding urban areas with a wide array of sports. They have cricket, croquet, squash, racket-ball and tennis onsite, whilst the Tulse Hill & Dulwich hockey club competes offsite before returning to utilise the clubhouse bar & changing facilities. A new partnership with Herne Hill's Fison Fitness has seen the addition of personal training & classes to the portfolio of exercise opportunities.
The club's finances have been severely impacted by the numerous restrictions and lockdowns but is keen to cintinue to offer a warm welcome to anyone wanting to play sport and enjoy the social activities when it is all over. This campaign offers an opportunity to secure that and bring the local community together.
