3rdthought theatre closes out MAD for Brockwell Park Fest 2008-13 run!
3rdthought is a surprising collective led by Peter Avery which presents exciting, unconventional theatre often in curious settings. Following some wonderful shows in a variety of situations as part of the Edinburgh Festival, and more recently at the Bermondsey Street Festival, 3rdthought next helps MAD for Brockwell Park Festival sign off in style with 'Journeys - The End of the Line' at the park's Walled Garden on Sunday, Sept 29th from 1-4pm. Very apt programme event title? Perhaps, because it caps the MAD For Brockwell Park Programme 2008 – 2013, which was mainly supported by National Lottery funds via Lambeth Borough. Funding now reduces to zero and the Festival needs to raise at least £5K to run a similar events programme in 2014.
'Journeys' will be in promenade and explores the personal memoirs of writers and refugees. There will be 5 performances of around 30 minutes each, with performances on the hour from 11am to 3pm. Places per show are free but with just 20 available for each, 3rdthought asks interested parties to reserve a place through its Facebook page. To do so or for more details about the ensemble and photos see 3rdthought's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/3rdthought
