Local Family selling French Farmhouse

We are selling our beautiful 5 bedroom French holiday home. A spacious
200 year old renovated farmhouse with large garden and pool in a
hamlet in North West Dordogne near Ribérac (3km).

It has been a place for fantastic group holidays and is a blissful
environment to get together with family and friends of all ages. We
have also run art and creative writing courses there for some years too
and are (reluctantly!) selling as the focus of our business is
changing.

It is the perfect place to relax and be peaceful, to entertain family
and friends, to swim, walk, cycle, canoe and kayak or for the less
sporty to visit markets, medieval villages, Romanesque churches, Roman
remains, prehistoric caves....and of course eat and drink in one of the
richest gastronomic areas in France.

The region is stunning and the house is extremely well set up with
great local contacts for pool maintence, gardening, cleaning etc. The
French neighbours are warm and welcoming and we are open to the idea of
leaving the house furnished.

On top of 1.5 acres of land the house has parking area for 4 cars, a
unconverted barn that has lots of potential, a large outdoor, covered
preau (great play area for our toddler when it gets too hot), lavender
filled courtyard, stone bbq and tasteful wooden pool house for garden
furniture and loungers. The house feels very spacious but also homely -
the kitchen table has regularly sat 12, there are two living rooms one
opening on to the courtyard and one opening on to the garden and pool
and there are 3 nicely refurbished bathrooms.

It is an easy area to get to by plane or train and with Bergerac
airport 45mins away we have often nipped over for sunny long weekends.

We are asking €445,000 for the house and the land (or Sterling equivalent). There will be no agent’s fees

involved.
